President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered his ministers to submit reports of their discussions with people in their respective states over the recent EndSARS protests. According to the presidency, Buhari at the recent Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting told his ministers to submit their reports next week.

He stated that some ministers were yet to conclude the discussions in their respective states
Adesina said: “I can tell you because there was another Federal Executive Council meeting yesterday (Wednesday), the president asked for briefs from ministers who went out. Only two had their reports ready as at yesterday because some others were still in their respective states still carrying out their assignment. “So, the president said all of them should turn in their reports through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in the incoming week.” The presidential aide explained that the reports from the ministers will enable the authorities to establish the true circumstances surrounding the EndSARS protest. Meanwhile, the Nigerian presidency has accused global human rights body, Amnesty International, of making misleading claims about what happened at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday, October 20. Speaking on behalf of the presidency, Femi Adesina, President Muhammadu Buhari’s special adviser on media and publicity, said the shooting incident at Lekki did not lead to widespread chaos
Adesina also disagreed that the widespread looting witnessed during the EndSARS protest was due to large-scale poverty in the country.
