Former United States President Bill Clinton has added his voice to the global call to the #ENDSARS protests across Nigeria, urging the Federal Government to dialogue with the protesters and find a way to put an end to police brutality and corruption, as well as introduce the necessary police reforms.

Clinton issue a brief statement via his verified Twitter handle, @BillClinton, and comes a day after his wife, Hillary, issued a similar statement in reaction to the infamous Black Tuesday when soldiers shot at unarmed protesters at the Lekki Tollgate.

He said: “I am deeply concerned over reports of violence in Lagos and urge the Nigerian government to engage in peaceful dialogue with the #EndSARS protestors for police reform and an end to corruption.”
